Ever wondered what the ‘hidden’ costs of heat escape at your factory is?
Well, depending upon the size of the unit and how many roller shutter doors it has, it can easily run into tens of thousands every single year!
Which is precisely why this North East based manufacturing company have recently had this 7mtr x 25mtr ‘air-lock’ extension installed.
So now, rather than having to open up the roller shutter door on the main building to unload vehicles as they arrive, and count the cost of all that heat escape…..
They simply reverse the vehicles in and close the roller shutter door on the extension you see above.
And then open the roller shutter door on their main building, to eliminate any heat loss at all.
And it’s not just heat loss to consider either.
The chap at this firm was telling us how they have horrendous issues with dust blowing around in summer, which again; affects their machinery and causes havoc with production delays.
Interestingly, when Jason went to see him, he was originally looking to have a temporary building with PVC (thermo) insulated roof.
But when he ran the idea past their heating engineer, the guy said they would be far better off having an insulated steel roof, due to the insulation properties.
Which is why we feel it’s so important to be able to offer a range of buildings to suit each application, rather than the one type (with the PVC roof) everyone else offers.
And I can’t believe he’s alone, how about you?
Are you counting the cost of heat loss?
Or looking to make provisions to seal your building against dust blowing in, in the summer?
If you’d like to look at putting a cost on an extension to your building/s, give us a call on 01827 330000 and ask for Jason.
Alternatively email email@example.com and he’ll get you some indicitive prices over by return.
No obligation, of course.
