Ever wondered what the ‘hidden’ costs of heat escape at your factory is?
Well, depending upon the size of the unit and how many roller shutter doors it has, it can easily run into tens of thousands every single year!
Which is precisely why this North East based manufacturing company have recently had this 7mtr x 25mtr ‘air-lock’ extension installed.

They simply reverse the vehicles in and close the roller shutter door on the extension you see above.
And then open the roller shutter door on their main building, to eliminate any heat loss at all.
And it’s not just heat loss to consider either.
The chap at this firm was telling us how they have horrendous issues with dust blowing around in summer, which again; affects their machinery and causes havoc with production delays.
Interestingly, when Jason went to see him, he was originally looking to have a temporary building with PVC (thermo) insulated roof.
But when he ran the idea past their heating engineer, the guy said they would be far better off having an insulated steel roof, due to the insulation properties.
Which is why we feel it’s so important to be able to offer a range of buildings to suit each application, rather than the one type (with the PVC roof) everyone else offers.
